21 May 2006

The excavation at Akrotiri on Thera (modern-day Santorini, Greece) has given more information about viticulture in the Cyclades in the Bronze Age. Any one have or need any bottles?

I am going to be bottling 2 or 3 barrels this month, and I need about 50 cases (I already have some stored away). If you have 50 cases you'd like to sell, I'll buy them from you. Otherwise, I'm thinking of buying a pallet of 112 from Diablo Valley Packaging (from what I hear they will be about $5.50 a case), which means I'll have some extras. So, if you need bottles, please let me know, and maybe we can split a pallet.

Any one have barrels available?

Forrest Ryan (son of Ray Ryan of Ryan Oaks Vineyards) is making his own wine this year and is in desparate need of four barrels. He's tried just about all sources to find some and is running out of time.
