The excavation at Akrotiri on Thera (modern-day Santorini, Greece) has given more information about viticulture in the Cyclades in the Bronze Age. Which is more acidic -- Pepsi or Dole orange juice?

You might think OJ, because of its citric acid. Yet Pepsi is more than 10 times as acidic, according to figures provided by PepsiCo, which makes both.

Any one have or need any bottles?

I am going to be bottling 2 or 3 barrels this month, and I need about 50 cases (I already have some stored away). If you have 50 cases you'd like to sell, I'll buy them from you. Otherwise, I'm thinking of buying a pallet of 112 from Diablo Valley Packaging (from what I hear they will be about $5.50 a case), which means I'll have some extras. So, if you need bottles, please let me know, and maybe we can split a pallet.

This story is from the SF Chronicle. The original article can be found

This story was in error in stating that grafted vines from the Original Grandpere Vineyard were planted in Renwood Winery's Grandpere Vineyard. In fact, vine cuttings were taken from the Original Grandpere Vineyard, self-rooted in a Renwood nursery for a year, then replanted and head-pruned in Renwood's Grandpere Vineyard.
